Treatments

Crowns and bridges
Crowns and bridges: durable replacements for teeth. Crowns and bridges are designed as durable replacements for teeth. They approximate their original form and function as closely as possible. Treatment for a crown or bridge is more complex than for a standard filling. You will therefore need to return to your dentist several times.

General dentistry
General dentistry is everything the dentist does for you during or after a checkup. Most people visit the dentist twice a year for checkups.
This is also part of general dentistry:
- Tooth extraction
- Filling a hole
- Root canal treatment (endodontics)
- Sealing in children
- Teeth whitening
- Oral hygiene advice

Periodontal treatment (periodontology)
Prevent inflamed gums through good oral hygiene
Good oral hygiene keeps your teeth, molars, and gums healthy. This prevents gum inflammation (gingivitis and periodontitis) and promotes their healing.

Cosmetic dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of teeth, using treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, and crowns to enhance color, shape, and symmetry. While the goal is primarily aesthetic, some procedures can also offer restorative benefits.

Invisalign treatment
Invisalign treatment uses clear, custom-made plastic caps called aligners to gradually move teeth into the desired position. The aligners are replaced every two weeks and must be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours a day, being removed only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. The treatment is virtually invisible and can last between 5 and 18 months, depending on the complexity of the dental problems.

Dentures (removable prosthesis) / click-in dentures
Removable dentures (dentures) are one of the most common solutions for replacing missing teeth. A denture is a device that clips onto multiple implants in the jaw, making it much more stable and comfortable than traditional dentures. The implants are metal screws that grow into the jawbone and serve as a firm base for the denture.

Implantology
What is an implant?
An implant can best be thought of as a kind of artificial root. It replaces a missing tooth root; that is, the part of a tooth that is embedded in the jaw. It is made of a body-friendly material such as titanium. It is inserted into the jaw like a screw and provides support for a crown, bridge, or overdenture.

Pediatric dentistry
Starting at their second birthday, it's wise to have your child come in for their biannual checkup. This allows your child to playfully familiarize themselves with the dentist. We can also provide tips and advice on brushing and nutrition. What's learned young, stays with you when you're older. All treatments for children up to their 18th birthday are covered by your health insurer under the basic health insurance plan. The following treatments are available for children:
- Seals
- Fluoride
- Cleaning lesson
- Filling a hole
- Referral to special dentistry for children with anxiety disorders

Treatment under anesthesia
If you have a fear of dentists or if treatment is impossible due to a gag reflex, treatment under general anesthesia can help. Treatment under general anesthesia can also be performed for a full extraction (a procedure in which all teeth are pulled).
